Guess what I have?
A book contract!! I’ve been hired to write a book on pet sitting. Research is underway and the book will likely be available after the holidays.
But guess what else I have? The dental mold of my mouth from yesterday’s misery. It is exactly one half of my mouth and opens and shuts on a hinge; it looks like a fragment of a skull. I asked the assistant if I could keep it after the measurements were done. It’s on my desk and I’m enjoying everyone saying, “What the heck is that?” I know in a month I’ll be saying “Why do I even have this?” and throw it away, but today it’s pretty cool.
By the way, the dentist visit went fine and I can now chew gum. One of my crowns is made of gold for dentisty reasons. The girls have forbidden me from ever calling it my “mouth bling”.
