Must be love.

Big Guy: You’re wearing my jacket.

Me: What’s yours is mine, honey.

BG: I don’t understand these marriage economics yet.

Me: Which ones? The ones where a teenage daughter equals an empty wallet?

BG: The whole thing. The University of Illinois has a respected economics department. I studied business for years. I still don’t understand marriage economics.

Me: Maybe you skipped a few classes.

BG: Mmmmhh.

Me: This jacket is much softer than the other one I borrowed. Did you just roll your eyes at me? You weren’t wearing it. How many jackets can you wear at once, anyway?

BG: It’s mine. MINE!

Last weekend I asked him, “When you were a teenager, did you ever think someday you’d be spending your Friday night in a Walgreens pharmacy line getting medicine for your stepdaughter, and listening to Rush’s ‘Tom Sawyer’ on the store speakers?”

On the other hand, I never thought I would spend a Friday night helping at a Rotary Club bingo game during “Village Days”. At forty, I was the second youngest person in the bingo tent. You can imagine how willingly I went. Good thing I love that big guy.

A bingo game? You’re killin’ me. Someone should only do that for love.

Oh, and when did Rush become suitable Muzak? There outta be a law against that.

Ha ha! The Big Guy is finally figuring out the economics of marriage? Sounds like you are doing a good job of “training him.” :-) You should run a boot camp for hubbies.

Although, how did he get you to a Rotary Bingo game?!?

Completely unwillingly. I probably grumbled the whole way to the Rotary bingo game. Not that I am a ROtary snob, and I grew up Catholic so bingo is in my blood, but on my list of things to do before I die, that was on somebody else’s list.

Hey Angela - I tagged you for a meme for sharing 8 little or unknown things about yourself. Someone tagged me and I am passing along the joy. If you’re not interested, no problem but if so, you just list your 8 things and then pass it along to 8 others. My post for this is up now. Take care!
