Rumors of me dying were greatly exaggerated.

A few hours after I wrote my Thursday post, I got a phone call. My husband’s co-leader was too sick to attend the weekend retreat; could I come instead?

I have to admit that illness is rarely a barrier when I have the chance to spend a weekend at a lodge praising God and helping people explore their faith. So I packed an entire pharmacy, echinacea tea and extra vitamins, and left with Joe and about 65 other people on Friday night.

The retreat was awe-inspiring, sacred, and life-changing. A mountaintop experience, just like the time Jesus took a few disciples up the mountain and they were able to see the full glory of Jesus.

I can’t wait to tell you more about how God has worked in the lives of the people there. But the lack of sleep and intense schedule, guess what that has done to me? Yep. Chills, fever, lightheadedness, complete ear malfunction, the most disgusting mucus ever to ooze out of someone’s head, and such nausea that I can’t swallow the new antibiotics my specialist just prescribed - the ones roughly the size of my thumb.

I’m going back to bed. But I promise, I really do have the most amazing and beautiful stories to share with you when I’m better!

Sickness has been residing in my house for too long. I need a virus exorcism. It’s been cycling through all the kids. I hope you are all better real soon!

sounds as though you’ve had a turn for the better, no need to turn any more - keep on moving where your vision takes you - that be the truth in you. can I get an Amen
