A few of my favorite things

If you’ve had the kind of week I’ve had, you might just need a good laugh or some uplifting inspiration. I’ve got just the thing!

Remember when I tried to color the Big Guy’s hair? That post has been included in Mad Kane’s Humor Carnival, along with 12 other hilarious posts. I’ve also been laughing hysterically at Kalynne Pudner’s (Philosopher Mom) news article, “Teen’s iPod Responsible for Parental Death”, in her comments on my post from yesterday.

If you’re looking for some reading to soothe your soul, you might want to browse posts at Jen Lemen, a blogger who embraces life and finds beauty all around her. Sometimes I want to crawl right through my computer screen and into her world.

Want a little inspiration in your Inbox? Faith@Work is a daily Christian devotional that is e-mailed directly to you five days a week (Monday through Friday). A wide range of topics are covered. To subscribe, simply click here and send a blank e-mail to FaithatWork-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.

Maybe you just need a drink. In the Drink Me page of angelawd, I’ve posted two new suggestions, one being a gluten-free beer.

Thankfully, our flood has subsided and the city is drying out. But before the flood was completely gone, my husband and I went out and took some photos. Here’s what it looks like now.

P.S. In the second photo, the river is supposed to be on the other side of that far treeline. I’m standing in what used to be a meadow behind the grade school.

It’s been one of those . . . “I need a drink” weeks for me, so am thrilled to see the Red Bridge.

    Thanks!

Annette, sorry you’ve had one of those weeks, but a nice frosty one will cheer you up, I’m sure.
