She’s gone.

Me and GrandmaMy grandma passed away early Tuesday morning. I am so thankful that she’s no longer in any pain. I keep wondering what she is seeing now and experiencing. What is her afterlife like?

Now I really am going to Minnesota. Joe and I are staying the week to help clean out her apartment and donate things to charity.

Have a wonderful trip, my friend: uneventful on the outside, fruitful on the inside.

my heart goes out to you, Angela. Having lost my grandma last summer, I know exactly what you mean about feeling relieved she’s out of her pain. Safe travels, and wave “hi” as you pass by Rochester. :)

Both of my grandmas lived well into their nineties. My one grandma had a slow decline of mind then body, it was so sad to watch, and still so sad to say good bye.

You wonder what she is seeing? She is seeing the true beauty and love in the heart of a granddaughter who never gave up on life no matter how rough it got. And I’m betting she is so very proud of the whole woman she can now see fully through the eyes of God.

My prayers and thoughts are with you as you sift through the remnants and memories of her earthly existence. It is a hard job, but you will be glad you did it.

Much love to you, my friend.

I am so sorry for the loss of your grandmother. They are special ladies - that is for sure.

I am jealous now of everyone that beats us to heaven. What long awaited joy is truly being fulfilled at this very moment.

    Even so Lord, come quickly!

    God bless!
    Stacey

Thanks to all of you for the consolation. I’m so glad she’s now at peace.

Angela, I’m so sorry I didn’t check in and know this. (Although I read the post from number 8 up there and it freaked me out, I thought I did and didn’t know it!)

I’m very glad you know she is at peace, but at the same time, I’m sorry you’re hurting. I just lost a dear older friend and the pain is still deep even when it’s time. So please accept my sincere condolence to you.

(I don’t know what 5n2 means…did ya have to go and ask that?) ;)
